BAC Presents “Going Beyond Community Grant” to Dear Austin Chicago and McNair School of Excellence; Founder Doug Morrow Honored with Empowerment Award

Chicago, IL — Beyond Athletics Chicago (BAC), under the leadership of Founder and Executive Director Laron Wade, continues to expand its impact across the city by uplifting organizations and schools that inspire the next generation. In a recent community initiative, Wade presented the “Going Beyond Community Grant” to Dear Austin Chicago and McNair School of Excellence, both championed by community leader and founder Doug Morrow.

The Going Beyond Community Grant is designed to recognize and support organizations, programs and schools that demonstrate a commitment to empowering youth and creating opportunities for growth, healing and leadership. By highlighting local changemakers, BAC aims to amplify the work of individuals and institutions who embody the spirit of resilience and progress within Chicago’s neighborhoods.

In addition to the grant, Morrow was honored with the BAC Empowerment Award, a distinction given to individuals who exemplify unwavering dedication to service, resilience and community transformation. The award celebrates Morrow’s ongoing commitment to creating safe spaces, fostering educational growth and empowering Chicago’s youth.
