Founder
LaRon Wade
LaRon Wade is the Founder of Beyond Athletics Chicago. As a native Chicagoan from the tough North Lawndale area on the West Side, sports became his lifeline which helped him develop a spirit of competitiveness, discipline and leadership. Losing a brother to Chicago’s gun violence, LaRon became committed to inspiring and guiding youth by serving as a positive male role model. For over 10 years, through devoted mentorship and coaching, LaRon’s student athletes have gained a sense of responsibility, hope and unwavering confidence to excel. LaRon organizes community service projects, cultural enrichment outings, life skills workshops, and other initiatives designed to inspire youth and young adults and make a positive impact in various communities throughout the City of Chicago.
